Your website says you use digital photography instead of X-rays. How is digital photography better than traditional X-rays?

One of the main benefits of digital X-rays is that they expose patients to much less radiation than old-fashioned X-rays do. Also, unlike traditional X-rays, with digital photography, we get the results immediately. What’s more, using digital X-rays contributes to our ability to maintain a highly efficient, environmentally friendly paperless office!

How often should I have dental exams and cleanings?

We recommend that most patients come in to have their teeth checked and cleaned every six months. The amount of time can vary depending on your oral health, so check with your dentist or dental hygienist.

At what age should my child start going to the dentist?

Your child should have his or her teeth first visually evaluated about six months after he or she gets the first tooth. This is usually around age 12 months. This also gives the dentist an opportunity to discuss your child's dental home care and answer any questions you may have. Children typically have their first dental cleaning at age three. Taking a child to the dentist at an early age helps them become comfortable with the process, and establishes good habits early on in their development.
